OUR MISSION

Providing statewide leadership for parent involvement and a student-first K-12 education.

Oregon Moms Union was founded in 2021 to help organize parents to fight for their kids' right to a quality education. Oregon Moms Union has over 90 School District Captains in more than 75 districts across Oregon. OMU comprises three different but linked organizations.

OUR PRIORITIES

  1. Supporting parents and communities with training, resources, and tools to navigate their local education systems.

  2. Ensuring school boards, school districts and elected officials are open and responsive to the voice of parents in their children’s education.

  3. Mobilizing and encouraging parents to take an active role in their local education system to ensure kids always come first.

  4. Working with parents and school boards to create an education system that meets the needs of each individual child.

  5. Bring more school choice options to the education system in Oregon.
